FAQ at Venice Suites

Our property is a historic 1920's building with fully furnished One Bedroom and Studio suites with equipped kitchens.  We have spectacular oceanfront view units and our city view units are of the Venice Beach Boardwalk and surrounding neighborhood consisting of homes, businesses and small streets.  We go the extra mile to bridge the gap between hotel and home and operate as your home away from home on the beach. We offer guests the chance to live like a local in comfort and style.

Our guests enjoy the fact that we are at the northern end of the Venice Boardwalk which is comprised of great restaurants and a bit quieter than the southern end of the boardwalk can be very active. We pride ourselves on having the best rooftop terrace of any property on the Venice Beach boardwalk with a gas barbeque, kitchen cooking area, sectional couch, dining tables, sun chairs and spectacular panoramic views of the ocean and city.

Q. Is parking available?

A. Parking is available at a location nearby for a fee of $10 per day. You can purchase parking in advance by contacting us via phone or email. You may also purchase your parking pass on the day of arrival during office hours only (8:00 am-8:00 pm). If you will be checking in after the office is closed you will need to purchase the parking pass in advance and the pass will be waiting in your room upon arrival.

Q. How close are you to the beach?

A. We are the only Venice Beach boardwalk property where you step out our front door and on to the boardwalk just steps from the sand.

Q. Does the suite come with a full kitchen?

A. All suites are equipped with a cook top stove, refrigerator, microwave, refrigerator, toaster oven, drip coffee maker, cookware, dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils, etc. Most suites have dishwashers as well.

Q. What is the maximum number of persons the units sleep?

A. The Studio units sleep 2 persons and the One Bedroom units sleep up to 4 persons. All units can hold 1 additional person with a roll away bed added to the unit. Baby cribs can also be added to the unit.

Q. What size beds are in the rooms?

A.  All beds are queen sized.  The one bedroom suites also have a double sleeper sofa in the living room that can sleep 2 persons. 

Q. Is there a fee for roll away beds and cribs?

A. Roll away beds are available for a fee of $25 per night stay. Baby cribs are available for free. Roll away bed and baby cribs are limited in availability. Please request as far in advance as possible. There is a maximum of one extra bed or crib per room.

Q. Do you have AC?

A. Our property is a historic 1920's building and unfortunately we are unable to install air conditioning in our units due to electrical power and building retrofitting restrictions. All suites are equipped with ceiling fans and additional free standing fans. The Venice beachfront has constant cool onshore ocean breezes throughout the day that maintain a comfortable temperature in our rooms with open windows.

Q. Will there be someone there to check me in if I arrive early in the morning or late at night?

A. The office is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. All guests recieve a confirmation email which includes a lock box assignment and combination to retrieve keycards for late night after office arrivals.

Q. What are the check-in and check-out times?

A.Our check-in time is 3:00 pm and our-check out time is 12:00 noon.

Early check-in and late check-out can only be determined on the day of arrival or departure based on the availability of your room. In most cases we cannot offer a late check out.  If the room is not available for early check-in or late check-out we are happy to store your luggagein our luggage storage room based on space availability.

Q. What is the cancellation policy?

A. We have a strict 3 day from arrival cancellation policy. Cancellations made outside the 3 days from arrival will receive a deposit refund.  Cancellations within 3 days of arrival will result in a forfeiture of the entire stay.

Q. Is there daily maid service?

A. Yes.  We operate as this is your home on the beach.  We don't enter the guest units during there stay endless the guest requests a cleaning. 

Q. Are there any additional fees?

A. No, there are no additional fees.

Q. Are Pets Allowed?

A. No, pets are not allowed. We will assign a $250 cleaning fee for bringing pets into a room. We do allow service pets with documentation.

Q. Do you allow smoking in rooms?

A. We do not allow the smoking of anything and any of our units.  We will assign a $250 claning fee for any smoke damaged rooms.

Q. What is the best way to get there from the airport?

A.You can hail a cab at the airport. It will cost $25 - $35 and take 20 mins – 40 mins depending on traffic. You may also use the Pacific Coast Shuttle Bus for approx $17 per person. Officials outside the arrival terminals will direct you to the correct transfer terminal. For regular bus information call 1 800 COMMUTE for a live operator who will give you bus information for all of Los Angeles.

Q. What do I have to do to check out?

A. Simply leave your key cards and the parking pass in the envelope provided on the office door and pass it through the office door mail slot.
