Los Angeles is full of cool things for the youth to see and do. Do not get trapped into just the famous theme parks or you will miss the culture and adventure of a new place and real exploration of the Los Angeles experience.
The two best are the Los Angeles Zoo and California Museum of Science and Industry. Near the zoo is the Autry Museum of Western Heritage and the Travel Town Railroad & Museum. The Los Angeles Children's Museum and the La Brea Tar Pits are also the type of cool sightseeing that makes the tour complete for any young traveler.
Wow and that is just the tip of the iceberg! If you have a youthful disposition try one day of theme park and then one day of the other section. A boat ride over to Catalina Island makes a great adventure.
Save part of one Saturday for just hanging out at the beach and checking out the 'scene' on the beach boardwalk.
