Free Internet Connection: The Ethernet connection to each unit is free and basically "Plug and Play". will be assigned an IP address by the buildings router once you plug in to the 10/100 Ethernet plug in the unit. Just bring your patch cable to hook your PC or Laptop into the network. Standard RJ45 connectors.
NAT Firewall: The Router will maintain a Network Address Translation firewall between you and the the internet. Anyone hacking on the internet will only see the Router's IP address.
Special Services: If you need to have a dedicated IP address, for access to an office WAN etc., the Administrator can assign an IP to your connection on the system. It is called a Demilitarized Zone and your connection will be direct and not filtered by the Routers NAT firewall. There will be a small service charge for this connection activation. There will be a limit to 6 DMZ's for the entire building and will be assigned on a first come first served basis.
